Additional address information

Each unique address comes with additional information telling you more about that address.

  • The WGS84 latitude and longitude (Lat/Lon) coordinates, which can be used in international location systems such as Google Maps.
  • For government systems and other primary Dutch applications you can use the "Rijksdriekhoekstelsel" (RD) coordinates.
  • Type: building, house boat site, mobile home site, P.O. Box
  • Zoning purposes: residential, office, meeting, health care, education, etc.
  • Living area in m².

Official identification numbers

In addition to the Postcode.nl IDs used for updates, the database also contains official IDs issued by the government. These identification numbers are important because they are referenced by other registers such as the Chamber of Commerce and the Municipal Basic Administration.
